“Chasing the Sun”
8×8 Original acrylic painting on backed wood panel (unframed, ready to hang)
Chippewa County, MI 2026
I really wanted to see the sunset one night but I was running out of time. I live on the “sunrise” side of Michigan and lets just say I am not a morning person so the sun hitting the water isnt a normal scene for me. I found a really cool spot, and I think in the winter when the sun is farther south it would hit the water, but this night it slipped behind a bunch of pines and lit up the sky in such wonderful red yellow and orange I just h ad to paint it.
Sunsets often mark change, or endings and I don’t think its a fluke that these suckers can look so vibrant and exciting. When we embrace change, life can truly be so pretty.
